Your Immediate Next Steps

I Need Food

Start with food available now, then apply for ongoing support. You do not need to hire a tax company to use these resources.

0 of 4 steps checked
  1. Search a nearby food pantry or meal program today. Call before traveling to confirm distribution times, location, and any requirements.

  2. If you cannot travel, tell the food bank or 211 operator and ask about delivery or an accessible distribution option.

  3. Apply for SNAP through your state and tell the worker if you have little or no money. Ask for expedited screening instead of assuming an ordinary processing timeline.

  4. Keep the application receipt and complete any interview or verification request. Ask the state office about the next step if you have not heard back.

Checkmarks are a reading aid for this visit. They are not saved, sent to a provider, or submitted as an application.

Help in Your Community

Use Your Location on the Official Directory.

Feeding America and Eldercare Locator accept a ZIP code or location. United Way 211 connects you with local services by phone or through its local directory. LSC lets you search for civil legal aid by address or city. Open the relevant resource above and enter your location there.

Liberty Standard does not collect your address to search these directories. A listing is a starting point, so contact the organization to confirm its service area, requirements, and current availability.
